What is BMI?
Your BMI, or body mass index, will show you whether your weight falls within the range that is healthy for your height.
It informs you of your weight for height and if you are “underweight,” “a healthy weight,” “overweight,” or “obese.” One metric used by medical experts to determine the likelihood of developing a chronic disease is BMI.
Most adults over 20 can benefit from using the BMI as a measurement. This estimate should only be used as a general reference because it does not account for factors like age, gender, ethnicity, or body composition.
